About Me
I'm 30 years old and live in Denmark with my wife. I study computer science at theI have build several small-sized robots based on PIC chips (jal-code). Searching for information about pc-based robots i stumbled over Dafydd's project. Instantly I knew that most part of the project was the things i had been looking for. My ideas about a pc-based robot almost perfectly fit with Dafydd's: VIA Epia motherboard with Linux and PIC chips as controllers.
My robot
-
The robot i'am building is based on the OAP project, but i'am building my own base with acrylic sheets and chassis in aluminium. A friend gave me a Epia ML-8000 motherboard a month ago which is going to be used in the robot.
Update
Some time ago I got my hands on a couble of 18F4450 and 18F4555 PIC chips with USB interface. Thus I'am redesigning my robot to use the USB interface instead of the I2C-interface which don't seems to work well at the EPIA ML-8000 motherboard.
